Dear Jerry,

As you may have noticed, the house on Ivanhoe which you renovated for us after our fire has sold, and that good fortune reminded me that I had not taken the time to express my appreciation for all that you and your men did to put our house, and out life, back in order

The house sold easily, thanks to the quality work and attention to detail which you provided.  I appreciated your design suggestions, your frequent updates, and your dedication to working within our budget. Any time I called or came to the site with questions or suggestions, you and your crew were polite and willing to listen.  I appreciate your letting me be more involved than many of your clients may want to be.  For example, you quoted me the price for having the mantle piece stripped, and allowed me to make a decision about whether to go ahead.  I appreciate the fact that when I decided to do it myself, your men were helpful about loading it into my car and providing supplies so that everything would match.

Always I had the feeling that the people working on my house were doing it the way they would if it were theirs and they planned to live in it forever.  Nothing was sloppy, and the original design and charm survived.  I also appreciate the fact that you delivered the finished product right on time.

Dear Jerry,

  Although we were not your "usual" customer as we had no fire damage, we knew you would be the one person to do a spectacular job as I know the kind of love & hard work you put into the house you & Pam live in.

  It took almost 5 years to get our third floor done (doing it ourselves & 2 different contractors) & the job still does not look professional, we knew we wanted a better job done on the first and second floors.  With you and Gary, it may have taken months without living space, bit you have transformed a truly ugly 113 year old house onto a showcase.  The beautiful crown molding & the extra time it took to hand strip and stain the woodwork, doors & staircase, not to mention the re-stripping of the first floor was incredible.  No more cracked plaster, my walls are gorgeous.  You were very patient with us.  Everyone truly admires the front staircase.

  I would also like to comment, that while I am uncomfortable with strange people in the house, I wasn't the least bit concerned with Gary.  He is a wonderful person and I wish him & his wife good luck in their new house.

  Our next big project is redoing our front porch & fixing the back stairs (which we didn’t have the money for).  When we do get the money, you will be the first person we call.
